Three major European leaders in microelectronics - STMicroelectronics, Soitec, and Lynred - will visit Sweden to share their technological knowledge in microelectronics. The event is designed to disseminate the benefits and results generated through the IPCEI on Microelectronics, and will address questions such as:

• What are these technologies all about and what do they enable?
• How could the Swedish ecosystem benefit from these technologies?
• What are the actual outcomes of the IPCEI on Microelectronics project?

LTH participates!

Heiner Linke, Professor and Deputy Dean, LTH, will address the suitable conditions Lund possesses for becoming a European center for semiconductor research and innovation. Lars-Erik Wernersson, Professor, LTH, will participate in a panel discussing the importance of a European semiconductor eco system and agenda.

The IPCEI on Microelectronics brings together the entire wide-ranging family of microelectronics topics: e.g., optics development, hardware design, process knowledge, production facilities, chip manufacture, and downstream applications in a wide variety of industries. IPCEI is a key strategic instrument with regard to the implementation of the European Union Industrial Strategy.
