A special message from LTH's Dean – regarding the invasion of Ukraine
I hope we will take extra good care of each other in these troubled times and be resolute together, writes Annika Olsson, Dean of LTH, in a message to students and staff affected by the attack on Ukraine.

Congratulations to our LTH students who won the Automation Student competition!
Moutoz Abdalrahman and Alistair Brice hope to further develop Swedish industry with the results gained from their degree project. They believe that technology has caught up at the same time as the visions of a more sustainable future are beginning to be established.

The Dean of LTH wishes you an early merry Christmas and a happy new year!
At LTH, there is a certain problem-solving spirit, and many committed individuals who want to make the best of LTH’s education, research and external engagement. Soon it will be time for some well-deserved rest, to gather energy for a new year in which we will continue to develop ourselves and LTH, writes LTH’s Dean Annika Olsson in a seasonal greeting to all LTH students and staff.

A high demand of engineers in 2022
A clear majority of engineering companies plan to recruit more engineers in 2022 than this year. Six companies need to hire at least 1,000 engineers. Computer technology, battery technology, power transmission and community building are some areas that are in great demand.

Distance learning - remote access and software
As the teaching is mainly done digitally, you as a student can work from home on LTH's computers by connecting via remote access or VPN. You can also access software via LTH's computers or use AppsAnywhere. We have gathered some links to help you find the right one.

Word of welcome from Dean Annika Olsson
I would like to greet all new and returning students, and welcome you to the autumn semester 2021 at the Faculty of Engineering, LTH!
